By scanning a physical environment with a laser scanner we can create a digital representation of the complete environment that can be explored and used as complete reference in almost any CAD software.
The point cloud allows you to dimension any scanned environment down to 1.6mm of accuracy. Angled or curved ceilings or walls will no longer pose a problem while attempting to work within such a space since the surfaces are recorded exactly as they are in reality. Drafting becomes a simple task of tracing over the point cloud to create 2D plans or build a 3D environment with near 100% accuracy in scale, finishes and relative position.

While scanning the environment, the scanner also creates 158 MB high resolution .tiff still files which can be used for an array of applications such as photogrammetry, photographs and 2D plan creation

Scans can be converted to 2D plans making renovations and site assessments an easy plug and play solution.
Point clouds, when converted to 3D models, can be used for visualization, animation, rendering and customization, as well as a multitude of VR and AR purposes.
For VFX, accurate measurements for lens angles, distortion as well as surface and texture re-creation can be obtained from meshes created with the point cloud.
Timeslice Cinematography can either provide the client with the RAW scans, a registered point cloud or a completed mesh or texture build.
Depending on the final output requirement, a number of different CAD software solutions can be used to create a measured 2D plan from the initial point cloud. This application is especially useful for renovations, site assessments and event planning.
